In-Person Classes

Class Protocols

  • Classes will be held in the multi-purpose room (MPR) or racquetball courts 4 & 5 (RBC) in the Braun Athletic Center.
  • Registration is required for all classes and the maximum number of participants is 12-20 depending on class.  Please go to http://rec.caltech.edu to register for classes.
  • Please check in at the front desk of the Braun Athletic Center.  Once checked in you may proceed to your class location. 
  • Bring your own water bottle and towel.
  • For Spin class please arrive early to move and set up your bike.

 

Class Descriptions

Strength               50 minute class     Max Participants 15          

This class is designed to help shed that excess fat while building strength and endurance.  Designed for all fitness levels, Strength offers traditional body sculpting methods using free weights, resistance bands, and your own bodyweight to tone and strengthen your muscles.

Yoga                    50 minute class     Max Participants 20          

A holistic combination of physical and mental exercises to help increase strength and flexibility and reduce stress.  Yoga is suitable for all ages and fitness levels.  This class is designed to increase strength and flexibility while decreasing stress and enhancing body awareness.

Spin                    50 minute class      Max Participants 12   

Spin is a highly efffective way to build cardiovascular strength and endurance. Designed for all ages and fitness levels, Spin offers a challenging 40-minute ride with fun energizing music. It's the perfect opportunity to get your heart pumping while you burn some serious calories.

Yogalates             50 minute class     Max Participants 20

A blend of mat Pilates and yoga designed for alingment to rebuild strength, tone and lean out your muscles.   Yogalates can also help with recovery from injury, reduce fatigue while improvimg one's posture, core strength, and flexibility.  Exercises in this class create better mobility for any lifestyle or sport you are active in, building on focus and balance between the body and mind. 

Cardio Core         50 minute class     Max Participants 15

This interval style class gets the heart going with high intensity bursts followed by a period of active recovry and core strengthening exercises.  Class is suitable for all ability levels as exercise modifications will be given.
