Women's Polo Gets Three Goals at Cal Lutheran

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. (Mar. 30, 2019) – The Caltech women's water polo team, led by senior Katie Johnston (Livermore, Calif. / Livermore) put up three goals at California Lutheran University over the weekend.

Johnston scored two of the visiting Beavers' three goals, the first of which came on the powerplay, assisted by junior Samantha D'Costa (San Jose, Calif. / St. Francis). Johnston would strike again in the third period before freshman Sophie Devoe (La Jolla, Calif. / Bishop's) scored the final goal of the game for either team in the fourth quarter. Johnston also led the charge defensively, assuming the goalkeeper position in the fourth quarter as the Beavers shut out the Regals over the game's final 10 minutes.

Head Coach Jon Bonafede and the Beavers will have the next week to prepare for Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges on Saturday, Apr. 6 at 11 a.m.
